Dr Walter Johnstone-Need was the benefactor of the Medical History Unit of the University of Melbourne. In 1987 Dr. Johnstone-Need provided the funds of $250 000 to promote research into the history of medicine within the Faculty of Medicine for a scholarship that continues to this day.Data time period: 1906 to 1994
