The John Sinclair Archive Collection consists of printed and digitised material including research datasets, photographs, correspondence, papers, manuscripts and reports donated by John Sinclair, documenting Fraser Island from 1799 to 2000. The material has a focus on the research background to the Fraser Island environmental protection campaigns of the 1970s. However, other material, including documents from the early European history of the region is included.  Material also relates to the Fraser Island Defenders Organisation, in which John Sinclair held various positions.  The collection includes print copies of the transcripts and research evidence presented to the Fraser Island Environmental inquiry in 1976.
