Jerry’s Plains Public School in County Hunter opened in January 1881 and was still providing educational instruction in 2003.(1) When the Jerrys Plains Public School was established a minimum school population of twenty was required for the school to remain in this classification. From 1957, the minimum number was reduced to nine.(2) In 2003, Jerry’s Plains Public School was located in Doyle St, Jerrys Plains in the District of Maitland.(3) ENDNOTES1.
