Indigo Blues #2 continues research into the contemporary notion of what constitutes a vessel; in particular, the context of the ritual of the dinner party-of eating and socializing around a table. This piece captures the moment of what was and what is about to happen: the in-between.
CONTRIBUTION
Indigo Blues #2 contributes to ongoing examinations of traditional tableware and what it can mean in a contemporary context. The piece defies classification in that it is neither tablecloth nor tableware, but a new object altogether. The significance of this research is that it addresses time and space within our daily lives through the exploration of the vessel and ritual.
