This is a collection of materials at the AFI Research Collection pertaining to Indigenous Australians in film and television. The issue of Indigenous Australians in film and television has been an important topic of discussion within media studies as well as in society in general. This collection documents of some the issues above, with materials about Indigenous films and TV including films and TV made by Australia's indigenous people, as well as their developing film and TV industry. The AFI Research Collection has endeavoured to collect as much material about Australian cinema and television as possible, so the Indigenous Australian materials are vitally important to the AFI Research Collection. The materials in this collection include books, book chapters, thesis, journal articles, and clippings files.
