This publication provides information on incident reports in NSW government schools. Publishing these reports informs the community about incidents in public schools and how the department supports schools through incidents while still protecting the identity of students and staff.\r\n\r\n**Data Notes:**\r\n\r\n* Following an incident, the Principal or School Executive is required to notify the department’s Incident Report and Support Hotline which includes seconded NSW Police officers so support and advice can be provided to assist the school with the management of the incident. All criminal related incidents are reviewed by the seconded police officers in line with legislative requirements. In some circumstances the Principal or School Executive may also contact NSW Police directly if an urgent response is required.\r\n\r\n* References have been removed which could expose a person to a risk of harm or which reveals the identities, or the personal/health information of students, school staff and community members.
