Multibeam data was logged from the EM’s in Kongsberg’s proprietary *.all format and was converted to be processed within Caris HIPS and SIPS version 10.3.1. The CARIS project was set up using UTM zone 55S. Initial data conversion and processing was performed using the python batch utility. As soon as files were copied to the processing PC (CARIS2) from the SIS acquisition machine, the data were automatically converted to the HIPS data format and merged using zerotide and the vessel file appropriate for either the EM122 or EM710. Once the raw files were converted into the HIPS and SIPS format the data was analysed for noise. The data was then gridded at multiple resolution's in python Caris batch script using a Depth filter Vs Resolution guideline derived from AusSeabed Multibeam guidelines v2 and further inspected for outliers. Final raster products are available in L3 folder of this collection. Final processed data were also exported per line as GSF and ASCII format and available in the L2 folder of this collection.Caris Gridded Surface Method: Create HIPS Grid using CUBE; CARIS_CUBE_Parameters Comment value=Default values./Distance_Exponent value=2/Queue_Length value=11/Quotient_Limit value=255/Discount_Factor value=1/Estimate_Offset value=4/Bayes_Factor_Threshold value=0.135000005364418/Run_Length_Threshold value=5/Capture_Distance_Scale value=5/Capture_Distance_Min value=0.5/Horiz_Error_Scalar value=2.95000004768372/Density_Strength_Cutoff value=2/Locale_Strengh_Max value=2.5/Null_Hypothesis_Min_Neighbours value=3/Null_Hypothesis_Ratio value=3/Locale_Radius value=1/Null_Hypothesis_Strength_Max value=2.5/Enable_Null_Hypothesis value=False CARIS_CUBE_ParametersDisambiguationMethod/DENSITY_LOCALE&rft.creator=Double, Michael &rft.creator=Bell, Elanor &rft.creator=Nicol, Stephen &rft.creator=Boyd, Matt &rft.creator=Nau, Amy &rft.creator=Navidad, Cisco &rft.date=2023&rft.edition=v3&rft.coverage=westlimit=137.98999999999998; southlimit=-66.7; eastlimit=152.65; northlimit=-42.88333333333333; projection=WGS84&rft_rights=Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International Licence https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by/4.0/&rft_rights=Data is accessible online and may be reused in accordance with licence conditions&rft_rights=All Rights (including copyright) CSIRO 2022.&rft_subject=AusSeabed&rft_subject=MNF&rft_subject=CSIRO&rft_subject=Marine geoscience&rft_subject=Geology&rft_subject=EARTH SCIENCES&rft_subject=Surveying (incl. hydrographic surveying)&rft_subject=Geomatic engineering&rft_subject=ENGINEERING&rft.type=dataset&rft.language=English Access the data

Full description

The availability of Antarctic krill to large predators and their role in biogeochemical recycling in the Southern Ocean.
Lineage: Original Field data. Final processed data were also exported per line as GSF and ASCII format and available in the L2 folder of this collection.
