Full description
The dataset comprises in-situ measurements of ocean waves within sea ice and associated sea-ice drift. This is the 2025 repeat deployment consistent with deployments conducted in 2021, 2022 and 2024 (see dataset ID:AAS_4506_Buoys_Casey_2021_2022_2024). In the 2025 field campaign, four OpenMetBuoys (OMBs) (Rabault et al., 2022; https://doi.org/10.3390/geosciences12030110) were deployed on 3 October 2025 along a transect perpendicular to the fast-ice edge. Ice and snow thicknesses at the time of deployment were 60-62 cm and 11-17 cm, respectively. Buoys began to break out in early November. The dataset includes 2-hourly wave spectra, along with corresponding hourly geographic coordinates (longitude and latitude).Lineage
