Brief description Cytomegalovirus (CMV) infection is an important and common infectious complication in patients receiving stem cell transplantation. Control of the CMV virus is dependent on an intact immune system. This project seeks to evaluate the immune, viral and clinical factors in a large study of four Australian transplant centres in order to better identify at-risk patients and improve patient outcomes.
