Brief description Kidney transplantation is the best treatment for people with kidney failure. But transplantation has risks. Risk of losing the transplant must be balanced with and a higher chance of potentially life-threatening infections and cancers. To improve long term outcomes, we need to look at the mechanisms of these diseases and how they affect what happens to transplant recipients.
