Brief description Male development, fertility, and lifelong health are fundamentally supported by testicular androgens. For decades we believed we fully understood how androgens are produced, however recent research has identified a second 'backdoor' pathway playing a key role in male development. We will selectively block either (or both) pathways in mice to determine how each promotes correct male development and function. The unique knowledge gained will underpin efforts to support lifelong male health.
