This repository will aid in the sharing of quantitative information and encourage consistencies in annotated labelling and providing tools for summarising and reporting on data relating to species and habitat distributions around Australia. Squidle+ is an end-to-end marine image data delivery, management, discovery and annotation platform, and forms the foundation of this IMOS Sub-Facility. It supports a variety of different data sources ranging from autonomous underwater vehicles (AUVs), remotely operated vehicles (ROVs), baited remote underwater video (BRUVS), towed underwater imagery and diver photo quadrat data from Underwater Visual Census (UVC, eg: Reef Life Survey (RLS)). This collection's map layer denotes the markers and tracks for all Deployments contained within Squidle+. It provides key features like the platforms used, and the number media items, total annotations and public annotations for each Deployment. There are several styles associated with this layer, with the default one showing the total number of media items by the sizes of the markers, coloured by Campaign. When zoomed out, it shows centroid locations for each Deployment. When zooming in, the markers switch to tracks showing the location of the media items. The popups also contain a selection of sample images from the Deployment, and the links provide hooks back to the Squidle+ interface to access the origin for each resource.Maintenance and Update Frequency: asNeeded&rft.creator=Integrated Marine Observing System (IMOS) &rft.date=2022&rft.coverage=westlimit=0.01; southlimit=-90.00; eastlimit=180.00; northlimit=90.00&rft.coverage=westlimit=0.01; southlimit=-90.00; eastlimit=180.00; northlimit=90.00&rft.coverage=westlimit=-180.00; southlimit=-90.00; eastlimit=-0.01; northlimit=90.00&rft.coverage=westlimit=-180.00; southlimit=-90.00; eastlimit=-0.01; northlimit=90.00&rft_rights=Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International License http://creativecommons.org/licenses/by/4.0/&rft_rights=The citation in a list of references is: IMOS [year-of-data-download], [Title], [data-access-URL], accessed [date-of-access].&rft_rights=Any users of IMOS data are required to clearly acknowledge the source of the material derived from IMOS in the format: Data was sourced from Australia’s Integrated Marine Observing System (IMOS) – IMOS is enabled by the National Collaborative Research Infrastructure strategy (NCRIS). Brief description

Understanding of Marine Imagery will establish a national repository for annotations of marine imagery, including those collected by IMOS Autonomous Underwater Vehicles. The popups also contain a selection of sample images from the Deployment, and the links provide hooks back to the Squidle+ interface to access the origin for each resource.
