The location of all fixed equipment is recorded using a standard GPS so the accuracy should be within 5-10m using WGS-84. All mobile equipment has an on-board GPS and so should have equivalent accuracy although is will be around 10-20m due to the nature of the movement of the buoys.\n Instruments are replaced and serviced at regular intervals. There is a single metadata record for each research trip with the deployment details for each of the sensors that make up the underway sensor package described in the metadata record. Data are quality controlled by validating against a set of rules (bounds checking, etc) and then flagged using the IODE set of flags.\n&rft.creator=Australian Institute of Marine Science (AIMS) &rft.creator=Integrated Marine Observing System (IMOS) &rft.date=2022&rft.coverage=147.07608,-19.18638 147.07848,-19.15792 147.0941,-19.0492 147.09842,-19.02164 147.1084,-18.968 147.12774,-18.91714 147.13988,-18.86492 147.13884,-18.72862 147.13568,-18.70126 147.111,-18.59288 147.09598,-18.5395 147.10786,-18.51318 147.14206,-18.48394 147.14794,-18.48716 147.07608,-19.18638 147.14794,-18.48716 147.14206,-18.48394 147.10786,-18.51318 147.09598,-18.5395 147.111,-18.59288 147.13568,-18.70126 147.13884,-18.72862 147.13988,-18.86492 147.12774,-18.91714 147.1084,-18.968 147.09842,-19.02164 147.0941,-19.0492 147.07848,-19.15792&rft.coverage=147.14798,-18.48714 147.13762,-18.48194 147.13968,-18.47716 147.16544,-18.46702 147.19068,-18.47302 147.29042,-18.56986 147.3681,-18.63928 147.47632,-18.7423 147.50004,-18.75824 147.57468,-18.79926 147.62674,-18.82338 147.6244,-18.8335 147.61618,-18.83824 147.59354,-18.8562 147.55148,-18.89414 147.32726,-19.0692 147.21388,-19.15318 147.16962,-19.19018 147.1067,-19.24932 147.0842,-19.2671 147.06076,-19.27946 147.14798,-18.48714 147.06076,-19.27946 147.0842,-19.2671 147.1067,-19.24932 147.16962,-19.19018 147.21388,-19.15318 147.32726,-19.0692 147.55148,-18.89414 147.59354,-18.8562 147.61618,-18.83824 147.6244,-18.8335 147.62674,-18.82338 147.57468,-18.79926 147.50004,-18.75824 147.47632,-18.7423 147.3681,-18.63928 147.29042,-18.56986 147.19068,-18.47302 147.16544,-18.46702 147.13968,-18.47716 147.13762,-18.48194&rft.coverage=147.07912,-19.26852 147.2126,-19.15986 147.41758,-19.00056 147.62326,-18.83328 147.62642,-18.82308 147.53046,-18.8802 147.38028,-18.96258 146.97116,-19.1753 146.87068,-19.23538 146.84894,-19.25382 147.07912,-19.26852 146.84894,-19.25382 146.87068,-19.23538 146.97116,-19.1753 147.38028,-18.96258 147.53046,-18.8802 147.62642,-18.82308 147.62326,-18.83328 147.41758,-19.00056 147.2126,-19.15986&rft.coverage=146.86266,-19.2204 146.90134,-19.12238 146.9499,-18.91532 146.96506,-18.86558 147.01682,-18.63098 147.04082,-18.61516 147.0647,-18.61252 147.17006,-18.55826 147.37804,-18.2748 147.36798,-18.27518 147.17284,-18.35526 147.08214,-18.37788 146.99072,-18.40876 146.87732,-18.46208 146.86136,-18.4728 146.86364,-18.47416 146.85282,-18.4787 146.86368,-18.49168 146.85726,-18.47912 146.86084,-18.47206 146.86046,-18.45962 146.86244,-18.46026 146.8567,-18.48338 146.8644,-18.49182 146.85722,-18.58104 146.85756,-18.67924 146.89132,-18.99756 146.9008,-19.11946 146.89832,-19.14276 146.86266,-19.2204 146.89832,-19.14276 146.9008,-19.11946 146.89132,-18.99756 146.85756,-18.67924 146.85722,-18.58104 146.8644,-18.49182 146.8567,-18.48338 146.86244,-18.46026 146.86046,-18.45962 146.86084,-18.47206 146.85726,-18.47912 146.86368,-18.49168 146.85282,-18.4787 146.86364,-18.47416 146.86136,-18.4728 146.87732,-18.46208 146.99072,-18.40876 147.08214,-18.37788 147.17284,-18.35526 147.36798,-18.27518 147.37804,-18.2748 147.17006,-18.55826 147.0647,-18.61252 147.04082,-18.61516 147.01682,-18.63098 146.96506,-18.86558 146.9499,-18.91532 146.90134,-19.12238&rft_rights=Creative Commons Attribution 3.0 Australia License http://creativecommons.org/licenses/by/3.0&rft_subject=oceans&rft_subject=Practical salinity of the water body&rft_subject=Temperature of the water body&rft_subject=Fluorescence of the water body&rft_subject=Turbidity of the water body&rft.type=dataset&rft.language=English Access the data

Brief description

'Ships of Opportunity' (SOOP) is a facility of the Australian 'Integrated Marine Observing System' (IMOS) project. This data set was collected by the SOOP sub-facility 'Sensors on Tropical Research Vessels' aboard the RV Cape Ferguson Trip 7111.\n

Lineage

All sensors are factory calibrated and then calibrated and serviced every six months. \nThe clocks on all instruments are set each night at mid-night from a central server which is turn has its clock set off an NTP server. Typical time drift in a day is a few seconds. \nThe clocks on all instruments are set each night at mid-night from a central server which is turn has its clock set off an NTP server. Data are quality controlled by validating against a set of rules (bounds checking, etc) and then flagged using the IODE set of flags.\n
