Brief description

This dataset contains Sea Surface Temperature (SST) underway observations collected on trips of the PV Pacific Sun (callsign 9HA2479). Bulk SST is measured by SBE48 hull contact sensor. The sensor is installed in the engine compartment at the depth of 3 metres. SST data (along with meteorological data from ship AWS) are instantaneous, collected every 1 hour. The data are quality controlled by the Bureau of Meteorology. The daily data files are available from eMII shortly after 0000 UTC.
