The water supply to the tank comes from the main water intake at the bottom (at the nominal depth of 12 meters) and about 15-20 meters of piping. SBE48 is located in the engine compartment next to the water tank at the depth of 8 meters (when the ship is fully laden). SST and met data are instantaneous, collected every 5 minutes. The data are quality controlled by the Bureau of Meteorology.
