Typical time drift in a day is a few seconds.The clocks on all instruments are set each night at mid-night from a central server which is turn has its clock set off an NTP server. The location of all fixed equipment is recorded using a standard GPS so the accuracy should be within 5-10m using WGS-84. All mobile equipment has an on-board GPS and so should have equivalent accuracy although is will be around 10-20m due to the nature of the movement of the buoys. Instruments are replaced and serviced at regular intervals. There is a single metadata record for each research trip with the deployment details for each of the sensors that make up the underway sensor package described in the metadata record. Data are quality controlled by validating against a set of rules (bounds checking, etc) and then flagged using the IODE set of flags.&rft.creator=Australian Institute of Marine Science (AIMS) &rft.creator=Integrated Marine Observing System (IMOS) &rft.date=2025&rft.coverage=146.84702,-19.25622 146.85776,-19.24316 146.87352,-19.22802 146.9233,-19.18324 146.97276,-19.13536 146.98318,-19.11658 146.98318,-19.09452 146.98206,-19.07232 146.98884,-19.05184 147.08034,-18.92078 147.0934,-18.90156 147.10526,-18.88208 147.13232,-18.84378 147.25044,-18.67086 147.27736,-18.63354 147.28766,-18.61854 147.28832,-18.6171 147.28742,-18.61716 147.29188,-18.62178 147.2986,-18.54106 147.30914,-18.45356 147.31466,-18.39476 147.32586,-18.36774 147.35592,-18.31546 147.36942,-18.28876 147.37828,-18.27472 147.36502,-18.2835 147.3418,-18.30504 147.29434,-18.34524 147.24564,-18.38326 147.22298,-18.40646 147.14926,-18.47 147.12624,-18.49208 147.10508,-18.51592 147.05958,-18.59804 147.0513,-18.61364 147.05174,-18.61404 147.05098,-18.61398 147.0515,-18.6135 147.04516,-18.61462 147.01848,-18.63084 147.01418,-18.66036 147.00846,-18.68898 147.00114,-18.71718 146.98992,-18.77428 146.96932,-18.88948 146.96248,-18.91836 146.95662,-18.94746 146.94674,-19.0051 146.91812,-19.14994 146.90366,-19.17592 146.86908,-19.2248 146.8557,-19.24634 146.84446,-19.25898 146.8418,-19.25914 146.84702,-19.25622 146.8418,-19.25914 146.84446,-19.25898 146.8557,-19.24634 146.86908,-19.2248 146.90366,-19.17592 146.91812,-19.14994 146.94674,-19.0051 146.95662,-18.94746 146.96248,-18.91836 146.96932,-18.88948 146.98992,-18.77428 147.00114,-18.71718 147.00846,-18.68898 147.01418,-18.66036 147.01848,-18.63084 147.04516,-18.61462 147.0515,-18.6135 147.05098,-18.61398 147.05174,-18.61404 147.0513,-18.61364 147.05958,-18.59804 147.10508,-18.51592 147.12624,-18.49208 147.14926,-18.47 147.22298,-18.40646 147.24564,-18.38326 147.29434,-18.34524 147.3418,-18.30504 147.36502,-18.2835 147.37828,-18.27472 147.36942,-18.28876 147.35592,-18.31546 147.32586,-18.36774 147.31466,-18.39476 147.30914,-18.45356 147.2986,-18.54106 147.29188,-18.62178 147.28742,-18.61716 147.28832,-18.6171 147.28766,-18.61854 147.27736,-18.63354 147.25044,-18.67086 147.13232,-18.84378 147.10526,-18.88208 147.0934,-18.90156 147.08034,-18.92078 146.98884,-19.05184 146.98206,-19.07232 146.98318,-19.09452 146.98318,-19.11658 146.97276,-19.13536 146.9233,-19.18324 146.87352,-19.22802 146.85776,-19.24316 146.84702,-19.25622&rft_rights=Creative Commons Attribution 3.0 Australia License http://creativecommons.org/licenses/by/3.0/au/&rft_rights=Use Limitation: All AIMS data, products and services are provided as is and AIMS does not warrant their fitness for a particular purpose or non-infringement.
