Brief description

The 'Facility for Automated Intelligent Monitoring of Marine Systems' (FAIMMS) is a facility of the Australian 'Integrated Marine Observing System' (IMOS) project. This data set was collected by the FAIMMS Great Barrier Reef Sensor Network and contains data from the following sensor deployments: \n\nThere have been 2 deployments for the Water Temperature data set.\n\nInstrumentation was deployed for measuring Water Temperature at surface from 18 Dec 2009 through to 07 Jun 2010, and the installation was located at/on Orpheus Island Relay Pole 1 Latitude:-18.55998 - Longitude:146.48955. Sensor deployed was a OTI: RP1:Thermistor String: Thermistor 1 (top) manufactured by Measurement Engineering Australia, model MEA 2173. The following comment was recorded regarding this deployment - 'Orpheus Island RP1 Thermistor-1 on Pelorus Island, 50m from the pole, 0.3m above LAT, fixed to the substrate'.\n\nInstrumentation was deployed for measuring Water Temperature at surface from 09 Jun 2010 through to 02 Feb 2011, and the installation was located at/on Orpheus Island Relay Pole 1 Latitude:-18.55998 - Longitude:146.48955.
