This collection contains time-series observations of temperature and salinity from moorings deployed by the ANMN. The primary parameters are temperature, pressure (when available) and depth of the instrument. A subset of this collection also includes conductivity and salinity. The observations were made using a range of temperature loggers, conductivity-temperature-depth (CTD) instruments, and temperature sensors on acoustic Doppler current profilers (ADCPs). We are also producing a gridded product of temperature time-series profiles based on these data. These will be available in a separate collection.Maintenance and Update Frequency: continualStatement: These data were obtained using a range of temperature sensors. Some of the instruments also record pressure, conductivity and other parameters. The raw data were processed using the IMOS Matlab Toolbox to produce a single netCDF file per instrument. The processing includes: * Pre-processing tasks like local time to UTC time conversion; * Calculation of a depth parameter based on pressure values (recorded by the instrument itself, or the nearest two pressure sensors on the mooring) using the Gibbs-SeaWater toolbox (TEOS-10). * Automatic quality control (QC) procedures, checking for impossible date or location, measurements taken out of water, outliers, spikes and flatlines (suspect data are flagged but never removed); * A visual check of the data and QC flags by the operator; * Writing the data and QC flags to an IMOS compliant NetCDF files containing QC'd data sets. Brief description

The Australian National Mooring Network (ANMN) Facility is a series of national reference stations and regional moorings designed to monitor particular oceanographic phenomena in Australian coastal ocean waters. These will be available in a separate collection.
