Brief description
The NSW Ocean Reference Station Mooring (IMOS platform code: ORS065) is one of several regional moorings in New South Wales. The Ocean Reference Station is maintained and funded by Sydney Water Corporation. Sydney Ocean Reference Station data was historically collected and processed by Clive Holden at Oceanographic Field Services under contract to Sydney Water Corporation. The ORS was first deployed in 1991 by Sydney Water Corporation and provides a valuable long-term water quality time series. ORS parameters include: Temperature measured at 14 different depths, Salinity at 55 m, east-west and north-south current components at 29 nominal depths.
