Brief description Genome wide association studies have been extremely successful at identifying regions of the genome associated with breast cancer risk. However, to fully translate this information to prevention and treatment of breast cancer, we need to understand the molecular mechanisms responsible for increasing breast cancer susceptibility, and the genes that are involved.
