The Ian Potter Museum of Art houses the University of Melbourne Art Collection. Largely comprising Australian art, the collection also incorporates other key areas. These include the classics and archaeology, international Indigenous culture, the decorative arts and a collection of 20th century poster designs. The collection of contemporary art includes many Australian and international artists who have held residencies at the university. Major collections include: Australian art of the twentieth century; Norman Macgeorge and the 'Fairy Hills' circle; The Classics and Archaeology Collection; The Gerard Herbst Poster Collection; The Hugh Ramsay Collection; The Ludwig Hirschfeld Mack Collection; The Norman Lindsay Collection; The Rupert Bunny Collection; The Vizard Foundation Art Collection of the 1990s; The Ewing Collection (1862-1940); The Leonhard Adam Collection of International Indigenous Culture; The Russell and Mab Grimwade 'Miegunyah' Collection.User Contributed Tags
