Brief description

Dataset includes images captured using a visible to near infrared (VNIR) and a shortwave infrared (SWIR) hyperpsectral imaging camera. The images are all dark and white corrected and the spectral values are "reflectance".

Full description

Dataset includes images captured using a visible to near infrared (VNIR, 389-1005 nm) and a shortwave infrared (SWIR, 950-2515 nm) hyperspectral imaging camera. The images are all dark and white corrected and the spectral values are "reflectance". The SWIR images were calibrated using a standard 50 % reflectance board and the VNIR images were calibrated using a white Teflon sheet assuming to be 99% reflectance.
The VNIR camera was a Resonon Pika XC2 and the VNIR images were taken using Spectronon software. The SWIR camera was a Hyspex SWIR-384 line scanner and the images were captured using the Breeze software.
The VNIR image of each sample include a sample image (*.bil) and a header file (*.bil.hdr). The header file contains the information related to the image and should be in the same folder with the actual image when open using any software.
The SWIR image of each sample is in a separate folder where there is the actual image (*.raw), a header file (*.hdr), a pseudo RGB image that is reconstructed from the SWIR data for visualisation only (*.png) and and *xml file.
The images were taken from two batches of wheat grain samples (5 g and 40 g samples). The 5 g and 40 g samples have been subsampled from the same original sample as replicates.
