Some of the work was produced witht he assistance of an Australia Councuk grant. The work was selected by editors Marck McPherson, Ute Noll & Marcus Schaded. Ute Noll is known for publishing and exhibiting cutting-edge, fine art, documentaryandemergingphotography.In2006shefoundedthe agency On Photography & Illustration ( www.on-photography.com ) and, in 2007, she opened the Uno Art Space in Stuttgart, where she regularly shows international photo exhibitions and holds lectures, workshops and directs photographers. Since 2004, Ms. Noll has been a team-curator and jury member of the annual international photo festival Darmstädter Tage der Fotografie (www.dtdf.de). Since 2006 she has contributed articles about emerging talents in her monthly rubric 'Photographer's of the future - discovered by Ute Noll' in the German magazine Photographie. In1995 Marcus Shanden founded the Schaden publishing house, which publishes limited photography editions and special releases. In 2009 he won the Red Dot Design Award (an international design prize awarded by the Design Zentrum Nordrhein Westfalen in Essen, Germany, which honours outstanding design quality and trendsetters). Since 2006, this acknowledged expert on photography books has worked as an editorial journalist for the international photographic magazine Foam, which is published quarterly by the Foam Fotografiemuseum, Amsterdam ( www.foammagazine.nl ). Hijacked includes essays by Alasdair Foster (dir. Australian Centre for Photography- at the time of publishing) Daniel Palmer (Snr lecturer Monash Uni) among others. Six images were selected, 2007-2008 from various series. The work had never be presented in this context before, in some cases this was the first time the work had be presented publicly.
