This dataset contains oceanographic data collected at a 50m coastal station off Heron Island, Great Barrier Reef, Queensland (lat. 23 deg. 25 min. S, long. 152 deg. 07 min. E) between December 1976 and January 1989. The station was set up under the CSIRO coastal monitoring programme in the 1970s and was sampled approximately monthly for temperature, salinity, dissolved oxygen, phosphate and nitrate. The data are stored on-line as part of the CMR hydrology archive in Hobart.
