Full description

This dataset includes weather observations between 17 October 2025 and 22 February 2026 (inclusive). The dataset covers the period over the Voyage 1 and Voyage 2 HIMI campaigns during the 2025/26 Antarctic season. The purpose of the installation is to provide co-located observations at the GNSS-IR sea level monitoring station. This work is part of the Southern Ocean Sea Level Monitoring Project AAS4626 led by Dr Ben Galton-Fenzi. The expected lifespan of the installation is up to 5 years.

The purpose of this dataset is to provide a complete record of weather observations from Magnet Point, Laurens Peninsula, Heard Island for the duration of the Voyage 1 and Voyage 2 Heard Island and McDonald Islands (HIMI) campaign during the 2025/26 Australian Antarctic season.
