Full description

This dataset includes daily 30-second interval RINEX files converted and merged from GNSS observations between 20 October 2025 and 3 February 2026 (inclusive). The dataset covers the period between Voyage 1 and Voyage 2 HIMI campaigns during the 2025/26 Antarctic season.

Lineage

Progress Code: completed
Statement: A survey of orientation and elevation could not be completed. Declination of Magnetic North from True North is approximately 62° West (AADC, 2025). The North arrow on the GNSS antenna has been oriented to North as close as could be estimated.

Notes

Purpose
The purpose of the station is to provide measurements of sea level via GNSS Interferometric Reflectometry (GNSS-IR). The installation was completed on 19 October 2025 and observations from two GNSS receivers (primary and secondary), an Automatic Weather Station, and camera images are transmitted daily. This work is part of the Southern Ocean Sea Level Monitoring Project AAS4626 led by Dr Ben Galton-Fenzi. The expected lifespan of the installation is up to 5 years.

Data time period: 2025-10-20 to 2026-02-03
