Full description Synthetic biology is revolutionizing the programming of molecules and cells with new functions. Professor Rackham is a pioneer in this field and is harnessing the tremendous potential of synthetic biology to create new therapeutic technologies. These include protein-based gene therapies to cure inherited genetic diseases and cancer. The impacts of these new technologies are already being realised through collaborations with industry and dissemination of critical new knowledge.
