See associated DWER record in Data WA catalogue for access to newer surveys.Maintenance and Update Frequency: notPlannedStatement: Survey year 2008: The survey employed broad-scale characterisation techniques such as manta tows along transects, to cover the large area. Coverage estimates of seagrass and macroalgae were carried out according to that of English et al. (1994). Percentage cover was estimated on a scale of 0 to 100%, incorporating five categories, 0-10%, 11-30%, 31-50%, 51-75% and 76-100%. The GPS location of the beginning and end of transects were recorded. GPS coordinates and depths were also taken at points of interest and where there were any visual changes in habitat. Survey years 2018 & 2020: Underwater drop camera observations were made December 2018 and January 2020. Seagrass species distribution and cover (as percentage cover in categories: 0, 1-10%, 10-25%, 25-50%, 50-75%, 75-90%, 90-100%) were recorded. The canopy height (in 10 cm intervals) and epiphytic cover (as low, medium, high) of seagrass was also estimated. Brief description
