Brief description

## **Abstract**

This dataset was supplied to the Bioregional Assessment Programme by a third party and is presented here as originally supplied. Metadata was not provided and has been compiled by the Bioregional Assessment Programme based on the known details at the time of acquisition.

The New South Wales Office of Water (NOW) provides to the Bureau of Meteorology a copy of their hydstra surface water database. The last extract was received in February 2012.

Data was extracted from the Hydstra format to .csv files for surface water sites within the Gwydir River Basin.

This included Average:

Daily discharge in ML/day from 9am-9am

Temperature

EC

Turbidity

Site details including locational information is contained in the 'Gwydir Site Details.xls' file

Explanation of variables are contained in the 'Variable Explanation.txt' file.

## **Purpose**

The Gwydir SW data was extracted from hydstra for the purpose of the Bioregional Assessments project.

## **Dataset History**

The New South Wales Office of Water (NOW) provides to the Bureau of Meteorology a copy of their hydstra surface water database. The last extract was received in February 2012.

Data was extracted from the Hydstra format to .csv files for surface water sites within the Gwydir River Basin.

This included Average:

Daily discharge in ML/day from 9am-9am

Temperature

EC

Turbidity

Site details including locational information is contained in the 'Gwydir Site Details.xls' file

Explanation of variables are contained in the 'Variable Explanation.txt' file.
