This research project explored how digital technology can enhance English teaching and learning (DTETL) in Indonesian higher education (HE) institutions. This research was significant because limited research had been conducted regarding integrating digital technology and English teaching and learning in the Indonesian context. This research aimed to develop a comprehensive framework based on the technology acceptance model (TAM) to support DTETL implementation. It also presented opportunities and challenges for English language lecturers and students (ELLS) in HE institutions who were experienced in utilising digital technology in English teaching and learning activities. This project employed qualitative methodology with a multiple-case study approach. The methods of collecting data from semi-structured interviews as primary data and literature reviews as secondary data. Data were analysed using a thematic analysis approach. The participants in this project were 20 English lecturers, 40 English students majoring in the English teaching department, and four administrators from two public and two private higher education institutions in Indonesia.Data time period: 2024-12-15 to 2025-03-15
