Brief description
**About National Greenhouse and Energy Reporting (NGER) Scheme:**In 2007 Australia introduced a single, national framework for corporations to report on greenhouse gas emissions, energy use and energy production. That framework, known as the National Greenhouse and Energy Reporting (NGER) Scheme, operates under the *National Greenhouse and Energy Reporting Act 2007.*
Corporations registered under the Act 2007 (the NGER Act) are obliged to report greenhouse gas emissions, energy production and energy consumption data to the Clean Energy Regulator.
By 28 February each year the Clean Energy Regulator must publish some of the data reported under the NGER Act for the previous reporting (financial) year.

Greenhouse and Energy information 2011-2012 - Corporations registered under the National Greenhouse and Energy Reporting Act 2007 (the NGER Act) are obliged to report greenhouse gas emissions, energy production and energy consumption to the Clean Energy Regulator.\r\n\r\nIn accordance with section 24 of the NGER Act, if a registered corporation had scope 1 and scope 2 greenhouse gas emissions above the 2011–12 publishing threshold of 50 kilotonnes, the following totals that the corporation has reported will be published:\r\n•scope 1 greenhouse gas emissions \r\n•scope 2 greenhouse gas emissions, and \r\n•total energy consumption.\r\n\r\nThe same information is also published for all corporations that hold a Reporting Transfer Certificate (RTC). As the publishing threshold does not apply to RTC holders this means that all corporations that hold a RTC will have these three totals published in relation to their RTC.\r\n\r\nPlease click on "Go to resource" or follow URL to view the dataset.text: Australia wide
