This is the dataset and accompanying Jupyter Python notebook used in the paper by Mosley et al. (2024) titled 'Soil pH: Techniques, challenges and insights from a global dataset' published in the European Journal of Soil Science (https://doi.org/10.1111/ejss.70021).

The python notebook provides the code required to reproduce the dataset (csv file in this repository) that merged the World Soil Information System (WoSIS) data with precipitation and evapotranspiration data, created a global soil pH map (see map png file in repository), and ran a Random Forest model to explore global drivers of soils pH (see output png file in repository).
