A biographical note for Mr Sheaffe has not yet been prepared, however the following notes may assist in placing the records created by him into their context.
George Lempriere Sheaffe born 12 March 1887. First appointed 20 May 1907. Surveyor (Western Land Board) 16 August 1927-
Series created by Mr Sheaffe indicate that he continued to be a surveyor until at least 1943 but he was no longer in office at the publication of the first Public Service List following World War II in 1946.
