The geological units are the Upper Permian coal measures, Aramac Coal Measures of the Galilee Basin, and the Winton Formation which is a part of the Eromanga Basin. The gas content data was utilised to show the distribution of gas in the Upper Permian coal measures and to look at variation in gas contents with depth below surface. Dry Ash Free Gas content and gas isotope data from drill core samples from various geological units were for the Galilee subregion.
