Researchers: Prof Andreas Fouras (Principal investigator)

Brief description Our ability to reduce the burden of disease is critically limited by our incapacity to image dynamic processes at the heart of those diseases. This application brings completely new capabilities to overcome this shortcoming and hence form new perspectives on several important medical problems that each result in alterations to dynamic processes: asthma, neonatal ventilation and cystic fibrosis within respiratory medicine and atherosclerosis and diabetes within cardiovascular medicine.
