Full description

This dataset contains the processed Acoustic Doppler Current Profiler (ADCP) data collected on Franklin voyage FR 08/2000. The voyage took place on the North West Shelf off Dampier during September 2000. This dataset has been processed and is archived within the CSIRO Marine and Atmospheric Research Data Centre in Hobart. Additional information regarding this dataset is contained in the cruise report for this voyage and/or the data processing report (as available).

Lineage

Progress Code: completed
Maintenance and Update Frequency: notPlanned
Statement: Data source: original field data As there was 98% 3DF GPS coverage only 3DF ship's heading and no gyro compass headings were used for data processing using the 3 minute .adp files returned from the voyage. Rawdp2adp was run with gyro heading to determine the overall size of data and thus 3DF GPS coverage.
Data processing and quality control: according to current CMR Data Centre ADCP processing manual For full details, refer to documentation.
