The program was first run to combine the single ping data records with the gyro ship's heading to produce 3 minute *.adp files which were then processed in the usual manner to produce the standard processed data set. The rawdp2adp programs was then run a second time, combining raw ADCP ping data with 3DF GPS heading , pitch and roll from the raw *.gpa files to produce 3 minute *.adp files which were then processed in the usual manner to produce processed ADCP files with names containing _3df. Reference layer averaging at all stages of the processing was over bins 2 to 6. Full description

This dataset contains the processed Acoustic Doppler Current Profiler (ADCP) data collected on Franklin voyage FR 05/99. The voyage took place on Australia's North West Shelf between Dampier and Darwin via the Ashmore Reef during July 1999.
