The program was first run to combine the single ping ADCP data records with the 3DF GPS heading, pitch and roll from the raw *.gpa files to produce 3 minute *.adp files which were then processed in the usual manner to produce processed ADCP files with names containing _3df. The rawdp2adp program was then run a second time, combining raw ADCP ping data with gyrocompass heading to produce 3 minute *.adp files which were then processed in the usual manner to produce the standard processed data set. Reference layer averaging for the production of the *.adp files was over bins 2 to 8. Full description

This dataset contains the processed Acoustic Doppler Current Profiler (ADCP) data collected on Franklin voyage FR 07/99. The voyage took place in the Indian Ocean during September and October in 1999. This dataset has been processed and is archived within the CSIRO Marine and Atmospheric Research Data Centre in Hobart.
