Gentoo penguins are the least numerous of the penguins breeding at Macquarie Island, and the only species to rear two chicks. This project examined the interactions between diving behaviour, diet and reproductive strategy.

Data were collected on Time Depth Recorders (TDRs), and stored in hexadecimal format. Hexadecimal files can be read using 'Instrument Helper', a free download from Wildlife Computers (see the url given below).
