Full description

Determination of fire events Data on the location, area and date of fire events between 2000 and 2006 was obtained from Brisbane City Council. These maps were digitised using ESRI, ArcGIS software. The information from Brisbane City Council about locations of fire in Karawatha was used to create polygons in the GIS of areas of fire. The plot grid of Karawatha PPBio was then overlayed to give the plots that had been exposed to fire in the past. Data about fire history was available for years 2000, 2001, 2002, 2003, 2004, 2005 and 2006. Combined spatial data was used to calculate fire frequency and time since last fire event for each plot.

Notes

Data about fire history was available for years 2000, 2001, 2002, 2003, 2004, 2005 and 2006. Combined spatial data was used to calculate fire frequency and time since last fire event for each plot.
