The Federation of Asian Chemical Societies (FACS) was originally proposed by UNESCO to the countries in the Asian region which covers an area from New Zealand to Iran. FACS is a federation of 28 chemical societies of countries and territories in the Asia-Pacific region. Chemists in the region may also become individual members. The general objective of the Federation is to promote the advancement and appreciation of chemistry and the interests of professional chemists in the Asia Pacific.
