Brief description Survival from critical illness can be associated with a legacy of physical weakness, inability to think clearly and anxiety; patients can’t function as they once did. I am a physiotherapist focused on improving the outcomes of survivors of intensive care. I intend to develop a physical and cognitive activity programme that can be commenced early in the intensive care unit (ICU) admission aimed at improving the devastating effects that an ICU admissions can have on physical and mental function.
