Participants were asked some questions about their demographics, personal characteristics (attitudes towards AI and robots, Big Five personality) and previous experience with VR and robots. Participants were also interviewed about their experiences in the simulations. This research was conducted in our VR lab on campus using HTC Vive Eye Pro head-mounted VR devices. This study examined the design considerations for the visual representation of autonomous robot teammates in virtual reality for supporting human-robot teaming in time-critical scenarios.
