Brief description

This dataset contains simulated pulsar timing array data based on the Parkes Pulsar Timing Array second data release. The dataset is described in detail in Zic et al. (2022) – its main purpose is to test the behaviour of gravitational wave inference pipelines for the presence of a common-spectrum noise process under datasets with increasingly disparate timing noise properties across pulsars.

Lineage

The simulated datasets were produced using PTASimulate. Posterior samples and optimal statistic results were computed using ENTERPRISE (Enhanced Numerical Toolbox Enabling a Robust PulsaR Inference SuitE).
