Full description Incoming aged care standards will require all residential aged care homes (RACHs) to appoint a designated infection control professional (ICP). This research will support these mandates by developing an evidence base for infection control in RACHs and by establishing a set of standards for: 1) the essential elements and governance arrangements for IPC programs in RACHs, and 2) the practice and competency for ICPs in RACHs.
