Brief description

This work has been prepared as part of the environmental investigations for the Logan Basin Water Resource Plan (WRP) and assesses the current (2003) condition of the estuarine reaches of the Logan-Albert system, including the region of Moreton Bay adjacent to the Logan mouth. It also compares current (2003) condition with reference condition. The report is based on site inspections by the authors and a review of existing data. No new sampling was undertaken for this report. Condition and impact assessment for this WRP has been developed using the professional experience of the authors and their knowledge of the Logan/Albert catchment and estuaries and southern Moreton Bay.

Full description

Condition ratings for current conditions were ranked as follows; 5: very major change from reference condition 4: major change from reference condition 3: moderate change from reference condition 2: minor change from reference condition 1: indiscernible change from reference condition The criteria used to assess this rank differed for water quality, benthic flora, fish and macroinvertebrates. this criteria is listed in the full report.
