Brief description

This data set contains data collected by Kelly Hannan of James Cook University in 2019 dealing with the effects of stable and fluctuating elevated pCO2, on the physiological performance of Lutjanus fulviflamma, Caesio cuning, Abudefduf whitleyi, and Cheilodipterus quinquelineatus.

Full description

This data set contains physiological responses of four species of coral reef fishes from an experiment which investigated the effects of a 9-11d exposure to stable and fluctuating elevated pCO2. The physiological metrics consisted of metabolic and haematological traits, metabolic traits were measured using a swimming respirometry system. The experiments were conducted at the Lizard Island Research Station. The experiments were conducted in  June - August  2019.

The full methodology is available in the accompanying publication, "Contrasting effects of constant and fluctuating pCO2 conditions on the exercise physiology of coral reef fishes".
