Brief description Bone healing and repair following trauma involves a complex series of events at both the cellular and molecular levels. This study aims to determine that local application of optimal dose of lipoxin A4 (promote resolution of inflammation) and prostaglandin E2 (low dosage stimulating localised bone formation) will promote healing following the placement of polymer foam in the defect, there by develop a therapy where bone deposition is accelerated and healing is enhanced.
