Brief description Posttraumatic stress disorder is a major mental health problem affecting many Australians. Most people with PTSD do not seek treatment, despite us having effective treatments. This project aims to overcome this barrier to care by testing a new early intervention administered in hospital within days of traumatic injury. The intervention will build on recent advances in memory reconsolidation to achieve markedly better treatment outcomes.
