Full description

Associate Professor Rossen Sedev obtained his PhD in Physical Chemistry from the Bulgarian Academy of Sciences, Sofia in 1994. His research interests include wettability of non-ideal surfaces (rough, heterogeneous and structured), wettability under applied potential (electrowetting), wettability of porous media, wettability of oxides and wetting dynamics, interfacial and electrochemical behavior of ionic liquids, surface forces and surfactants, colloidal systems (foams, emulsions, bubbles and particles). He has co-authored about 90 refereed publications with a total of 1200 citations. Rossen joined The Wark at UniSA in 2000. Previous appointments include Humboldt Research Fellow, Iwan N. Stranski Institute of Physical and Theoretical Chemistry, Technical University Berlin (1998-2000); Research Associate, Institute of Physical Chemistry, Sofia (1993-1998); Research Associate, Central Laboratory of Mineral Processing, Sofia (1991-1993; 1988-1990); Visiting Scholar, Department of Mechanical Engineering, University of Toronto (1990-91).
